Chelsea are prepared to stump up the £120m required to prise Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The Blues have ramped up their interest in recent weeks after their transfer ban was lifted with Frank Lampard keen to strengthen his squad.
Sancho is among the most wanted players in Europe with Manchester United having a long-term interest in the player.
But Chelsea are ready to act first and pay the highest fee ever in a January transfer window, reports the Daily Express .
Roman Abramovich is ready to supply Lampard with a £150m kitty as he looks to add some star dust to a young squad.
Sancho, who left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017, has again been a hugely influential figure for the German outfit having registered 12 goals and 13 assists in 24 games.
Chelsea are looking to replace Eden Hazard having been unable to replace the Belgian star following his big money move to Real Madrid in the summer.
Dortmund though insist their wonderkid is going nowhere with director of sport Michael Zorc claiming Sancho won’t be leaving under “any scenario” in January.
Jadon Sancho is touted with a move back to the Premier League
Zorc said: “We’re continuing to plan with him.
“He’s a fundamental player for us and I do not see any scenario where he leaves us.
“We have already had some situations with him to talk about, and there have been a lot of interviews in the last few weeks.
“We are in a good way; when he came off the bench in Barcelona and also in Berlin, he gave us a top performance.”
Dortmund signed Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg last week which has led to suggestions the Norwegian has been added to replace, rather than compliment, Sancho.
United themselves had a keen interest in Haaland and having missed out may up their efforts to sign Sancho.
