Chelsea and Frank Lampard have received a massive injury boost ahead of the New Year’s Day Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Christian Pulisic looks set to be available for the trip to the Amex Stadium.
The winger was a surprise absentee from the Blues squad against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon – a decision which did not go down too well amongst many supporters when the team news was revealed.

This was before fans knew the reason for his absence.
Pulisic was not in the Chelsea squad that made the trip to the Emirates Stadium because of a minor groin injury that he picked up during a training session following the Boxing Day defeat against Southampton.
The American was a substitute against the Saints and many expected him to feature against the Gunners.
Although, he was not sorely missed.
Second half goals from Jorginho and Tammy Abraham turned the game on its head and ensured the west London outfit went into 2020 on a high after back-to-back away wins at Arsenal and Spurs to close out 2019.
But attentions are already turning to the first game of the new year and if Pulisic will be ready to return.
The good news for Lampard is that the injury doesn’t appear to be too serious as Pulisic provided an update on social media.
“100% healthy but thank you guys for the concern,” he tweeted in response to @Yahoo Soccer asking how long the USA international could be out of action for.
