Tammy Abraham has all the attributes to lead the line at Chelsea for years to come according to former Blues playmaker Joe Cole.
Abraham has been a revelation since being given the role by new boss Frank Lampard , scoring 14 goals in 27 games so far this season.
As a youth academy product he, along with the likes of Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori, have become almost instant fan favourites.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for RB Leipzig attacker Timo Werner and have reportedly made enquiries about his release clause.
But Cole fears for that signing a player to replace Abraham is entirely unnecessary and that he would love to see the 22-year-old given the chance to flourish fully at Stamford Bridge.
Asked about whether they need to look for a replacement in January, Cole told BT Sport: “You certainly don’t need to replace him.
“He is a young lad and we’ll all know what he’s about on and off the pitch. What Chelsea and the other top clubs do is look at what’s around.
“I believe he can lead the line for years to come. One of the key things is what his old managers say about him and that is the mindset and his tenacity. When you’ve got those attributes you’re in a good place.”

Abraham’s contract at Stamford Bridge does not run out until June 2022, although reports suggest he is stalling over signing a new deal.
It has been suggested he is demanding wage parity with Callum Hudson-Odoi who penned a new deal worth £180,000-per-week in the summer.
And now Le10Sport have claimed that Manchester City are reportedly interested in Abraham with the Chelsea star having impressed them this season.
