‘Get it done!’ – Aston Villa fans make transfer demand over Michy Batshuayi January move

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is a wanted man this month, with Aston Villa reportedly considering a loan move for the Belgian striker.

The Blues forward has been in and out of the team so far this season, with five goals in 18 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

But he has largely found himself behind Tammy Abraham, who has been Frank Lampard’s preferred striker for much of the season.

As such, there has been speculation over Batshuayi’s future, with Crystal Palace among the clubs to have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, after he impressed during a loan spell at Selhurst Park last season, scoring six goals in 13 appearances for the Eagles.

But now, Sky Sports are reporting that Batshuayi has emerged as a target for Aston Villa in the January transfer window, after Dean Smith’s men were dealt a cruel injury blow, with fears that Wesley could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

And the links have got Villa fans talking, with Batshuayi a popular choice for some fans as the Midlands club look to try and bolster their forward options amid the battle to stay in the Premier League.

Here’s what they have been saying on social media.

Batshuayi has, however, previously stated his desire to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place in the team.

That is despite him fighting for a place in Belgium’s squad for the European Championships next summer.

But would he be better heading out on loan to get game time?
