Aston Villa enquiry

According to Sky Sports , Aston Villa have asked Chelsea about the possibility of taking Batshuayi on loan for the remainder of the season as they look to fight off relegation from the Premier League.

They fear that their main striker Wesley has suffered a serious knee injury after being stretchered off in the 72nd minute of the 2-1 win over Burnley on New Years Day.

However, the report also claims that Batshuayi is highly unlikely to leave Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window.

Crystal Palace interest

Batshuayi has also been linked with a move back to Selhurst Park following a successful loan move last season, where he scored six goals in 13 appearances for the Eagles.

Fans would also like to see the striker return. In a survey of their views ahead of the January transfer window, 52.83% of those who responded told football.london that Batshuayi is their priority signing for 2020.

But who could be alternative options for Palace should they miss out?
