Eddie Howe insists their have been no offers for Bournemouth star Nathan Ake with the January transfer window now open.
The Dutch star is currently out injured, but his performances prior to that had attracted interest from Chelsea and Arsenal as well as admiring glances from abroad.
Ake moved permanently to the Vitality Stadium in 2017 having impressed on loan prior to that, but when the Blues sold him they included a buy back clause.
Should Chelsea want to exercise that option they would have to do so by the end of January, but Howe has revealed no such move has been made.
“Nothing to report on Nathan. He is recovering well from his injury and we will wait and see when he’s back fit,” he said.
Ake cost the Cherries £20m, but they could recoup double that if Chelsea want to bring him back to Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old defender is not the only player Howe may lose this month with Ryan Fraser a potential departure.
Nathan Ake is on Chelsea’s radar in January and they head the queue for his signature
The Scotsman has less than six months to run on his current deal and has expressed no desire to remain on the south coast.
Liverpool had been linked with his signature towards the back end of 2019, but as it stands he remains a Bournemouth player.
Howe concedes Fraser’s stance remains the same as he plans for the rest of the season with the winger in mind.
He said: “Ryan’s situation is quite clear – there is no change to it, but he’s still a very important member of out squad.
Fraser moved to the Premier League side back in 2013 for just £400,000 from Aberdeen and has enjoyed promotion from the Championship in 2015.
He was an Arsenal target in the summer, but the Gunners have undergone a management change meaning their interest has cooled.
