Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen to draft in Moussa Dembele from Lyon as two strikers head for the exit door at Stamford Bridge.
Dembele is a key target for the Blues, but Starsport understand an opening offer of £35m has been turned down by the French club.
Chelsea are ready to go again in their bid to land the talented frontman, and are ready to send outcast frontman Olivier Giroud the other way as part of the deal.
Giroud, 33, has barely got a look in this season, with Tammy Abraham being trusted by Lampard to lead the line.
And Lampard is ready to bid farewell to the ageing ex-Arsenal man, with fellow striker Michy Batshuayi also understood to be on the way out.
That’s left the Chelsea boss desperate to get Dembele on board to ensure he’s got enough options should Abraham pick up an injury.
Dembele has netted 25 goals in just 49 games for Lyon in the last 18 months following a move from Scottish giants Celtic .
He’s previously played in west London, after making his name down the road from Stamford Bridge at Fulham.

A Chelsea move for the 23-year-old would be good news for Celtic, who could pocket as much as £4m due to a sell-on clause in his contract.
Lyon won’t let him leave without a fight though and have issued a statement outlining their intention to keep him.
“Olympique Lyonnais has taken note of certain information relayed by the media suggesting that Moussa Dembele could interest other clubs during this transfer window,” the statement read.
