Chelsea predicted team vs Nottingham Forest: Ross Barkley, Marc Guehi, Tariq Lamptey to start

Frank Lampard is likely to make a host of changes for Sunday’s FA Cup third round game against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Most of his senior players expected to be given a rest following a busy Christmas period in which they earned seven points from four league games in 11 days.

Willy Caballero will start in goal, while Marc Guehi and Andreas Christensen could line up together in central defence.

Teenager Tariq Lamptey might feature at right back having made his debut off the bench in the comeback win away to Arsenal.

At left back Ian Maatsen, another academy product who trained with the first team this week, is vying for the starting role with Emerson Palmieri with Marcos Alonso still ruled out through injury.

Billy Gilmour had been expected to feature against the Sky Bet Championship visitors but did not train on Friday due to illness.

His condition will be monitored. Ross Barkley is almost certain to make his first start since October.

Pedro Rodriguez, who is being pursued by a number of MLS clubs and is out of contract in the summer, will start with Callum Hudson-Odoi out wide.
