Boost for Chelsea in Zaha pursuit, Maddison transfer decision – Premier League rumours

The January transfer window is now open and teams from across the Premier League are looking to make significant improvements to their respective squads. 

Liverpool lead the way at the top of the Premier League by 13 points and have sent a message out to the rest of the league this season. 

Their rivals know that they must recruit well moving forward to catch up with the Reds and the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are aiming to begin that process this month.

Chelsea transfer boost

Wilfried Zaha may have taken a step closer to leaving Crystal Palace amid links with Chelsea.

The forward has brought in Pini Zahavi, someone who has close ties with Chelsea, to represent him.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Palace, but nothing came to fruition last summer after links with Everton and Arsenal.

Zaha has left his representative, Will Salthouse’s Unique Sports Management, although his contract with the company runs until the end of this season. 

Zahavi has been employed to potentially sort a deal for Zaha to leave.

United make Maddison decision

Manchester United are ready to take their interest in James Maddison to another level this month and could part ways with Jesse Lingard in a mega swap deal.

Mirror Football explain that United have made Maddison one of their top priorities during the January transfer window.

It’s said that the Red Devils are prepared to trade away Lingard as part of a deal to sign the Leicester City attacking midfielder, with £45m to be put on the table as well.

Arsenal make contact over Boateng
