Moussa Dembele blow
Chelsea have reportedly been dealt a blow in their attempt to sign Moussa Dembele from Lyon.
The 22-year-old is the French side’s top scorer this season, with 14 goals in all competitions.
The young striker has been linked with Frank Lampard’s side, with Lyon recently taking the unusual measure of releasing a statement saying that they want to keep the striker for “seasons to come”.

With Lyon’s other attacking star Memphis Depay also ruled out for the rest of the season, the Telegraph (via the Star ) state that Dembele has accepted that he will not be leaving the club in the January transfer window.
However, he is said to be “desperate” for a move in the summer.
Olivier Giroud latest
Newcastle are one of the clubs said to be considering a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
The 33-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and able to negotiate a free transfer for the summer.
However, with Euro 2020 looming, the striker is hopeful of a move to gain more first team football and secure his place in France’s squad.
