We wouldn’t take back the arrival of Antonio Conte for anything.
The former Juve boss arrived, turned the team around, won the title, won the FA Cup, massively fell out with everyone, and then vanished again, airbrushed from history as he took preseason last year.
Chelsea’s latest accounts show they paid a total of £26.6m in compensation to former head coach Antonio Conte and his backroom staff and legal costs.

The final reckoning was… a little pricey however. A ton of pretty dreadful signings (not his fault) left a bad legacy in the squad, and the final fee for sacking him has ended up being pretty hefty too.
Sky Sports today reported that the final tally was £26.6m to compensate Conte and all his staff, after the now Inter boss took his former employers to court and won.
So the board may not love him… but we will always have a great passion for Toni. Let’s hope he wins that Scudetto this year, we will get plenty of pleasure watching him lift the trophy ahead of Maurizio Sarri.
