Danny Drinkwater has completed a loan move to Aston Villa, Sky Sports have confirmed.
It was just a couple of hours ago that we wrote the midfielder was having his medical, and clearly there were no major issues as he’s now made the move.
It’s nice to have him off our books, and hopefully he can make a bigger impact in this second half of the season than he did in the first half, where injury and ill-discipline stopped him doing anything for Burnley.

The midfielder has just one start in a year and a half, and faces competition for minutes at Villa Park too. Will this be where he finally gets his career back off the ground? We somehow doubt it.
Still, it’s better to see him there getting a chance than knocking around the training ground at Chelsea. Hopefully he gets into their team, picks up some appearances, and can be finally sold in the summer.
