Moussa Dembele is one of the strikers Frank Lampard and Chelsea have been linked with this month.
The Blues have struggled to kill games off in recent weeks and have struggled to score goals at home, failing to hit the back of the net in three of their last four Premier League games at Stamford Bridge.
There is a huge weight of expectation on the young shoulders of Tammy Abraham, but head coach Lampard can rectify that this month.
Chelsea did have a two-window transfer embargo placed upon them by FIFA, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport overturned the decision on appeal, cutting the sentence in half, meaning the Blues are now free to make new signings this month.

Dembele has scored 10 goals in 25 games for Lyon this season and it reportedly keen on a move away from Ligue Un and back to England, where he spent time in London with Fulham at the beginning of his career.
And Lampard has been urged to complete a deal for the 23-year-old this month by one of his former Blues team-mates.
Speaking to the Daily Mail , Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink said: “Chelsea need to make new signings because you have to keep the rhythm going and just to get some kind of new blood coming through the door.
“It is always good when you make a signing. It gives everybody new energy, you know? Obviously Tammy Abraham is doing really well but he is the only one really who is doing really well. [Michy] Batshuayi is not making a difference. [Olivier] Giroud, I think, he does not really fit in with their plans.
