Emerson Palmieri’s agent delivers Chelsea transfer update as Man United near Ashley Young sale

Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri is set to stay at Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window after his agent dismissed the idea of leaving London for a return to Italy with Inter.

The Brazil-born Italy international has been linked with a move back to Serie A two years after leaving Roma in January 2018 to join the Blues.

He has since made 50 appearances for the west London club, and was a member of the squad that won the Europa League last year under Maurizio Sarri.

A bid is expected for Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell in the summer as Frank Lampard plans to fix the remaining weak points in his team.
