The Chelsea January transfer priorities Frank Lampard must address first

With Chelsea’s transfer ban having been lifted in time for the January window, the Blues could well spend some money this month.

Frank Lampard has stated that he is willing to bring players in to the club, however it will only be if they have the ability to add to his team.

The Blues have had a decent start to the campaign, sitting fourth in the Premier League and into the last 16 of the Champions League.

However, it hasn’t been perfect at all, with the Blues struggling at home, having lost to West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton in recent weeks at Stamford Bridge.

With club captain Cesar Azpilicueta and youngster Reece James in the squad, the right-back position seems pretty filled.

They also have cover in there from other players, with Fikayo Tomori able to move into the role should Lampard require.

If they are desperate, then Tariq Lamptey showed that he can be an option for the Blues in the future.
