Latest Chelsea transfer rumours: Blues swoop for £40m West Ham man, Christensen key to Ake deal

After a solid start to the season, Frank Lampard’s Chelsea have suffered a dip in recent months.

The Blues, who are out to secure Champions League football this season, return to Premier League action this weekend with a clash against Burnley, fresh from securing their spot in the fourth-round of the FA Cup with a victory against Nottingham Forest.

In the midst of all the action on the pitch, this month also presents Lampard with his first opportunity to bolster his squad following the transfer ban in the summer.

Moussa Dembele going nowhere

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that the club have received bids for Moussa Dembele.

Dembele has been a star at the French side since his move from Celtic, and is reportedly attracting the interest of Chelsea and Manchester United.

But Aulas says his forward will be going nowhere this month – despite confirming offers have been received.

“Moussa Dembélé will not leave because he wants to stay to win something with Lyon,” Aulas told Lyon’s official website.

“There have been offers for him and for other players but none of those that we want to keep will leave in January.”

Blues poised to make Diop bid
