The 29 players Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham can sign for free in the January transfer window

The January transfer window is open for business and clubs across the Premier League will be looking to bolster their ranks.

In the mid-season window, major transfer deals are rare as most clubs will save their expensive exploits for the summer and, as such, there is plenty of movement in the loan market.

However, the January transfer window also presents the opportunity to get ahead of the curve by signing players on a pre-contractual agreement this month, with those players then arriving on a free transfer at the end of the season.

This is something that Italian giants Juventus have become famed for, having signed Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal and Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain on these sorts of deals in the past 12 months.

Clubs in the Premier League have signed players on pre-contract agreements in the past though, with Crystal Palace agreeing a deal to sign goalkeeper Vicente Guaita in 2018.

There could be a scramble across the continent for players who are in a similar situation this month – but these deals are not available for clubs in the Premier League, as pre-contract agreements are only available for those currently playing outside of England.

Below, we have identified 29 players across Europe who could speak with Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Tottenham and West Ham with a view to signing pre-contract agreements this month.
