The 34 January transfers Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham can make for a cut-price deal

The January transfer window is open for business and clubs in the Premier League are eyeing deals to bolster their push to reach their objectives in the second half of the season.

While the window will make plenty of headlines, clubs are unlikely to spend heavily during the mid-season and will instead save their biggest business for the summer – when there is more time to get deals across the line.

As such, they may look towards potential bargains in the market and could have their heads turned by players who are starting to become a concern at their current clubs due to their contract situation.

In the summer, a number of players across the continent will be in the final year of their deal, reducing their price-tag, and would be just a few months away from being able to sign for a Premier League side for free on a pre-contractual deal.
