Marc Guehi could make his Championship debut for Swansea City in the south Wales derby against Cardiff City on Sunday after signing for the Swans on loan.
As reported by football.london , the Chelsea defender has now completed his move to south Wales to link up again with Swansea boss Steve Cooper, who he worked with as England’s U17 side won the World Cup.
Guehi was captain of the England U17 side at the U17 European Championships in 2017, and featured in every game at the World Cup later that year, scoring in the final as England beat Spain 5-2.
This will be Guehi’s first loan spell of his career, having come through the ranks at Chelsea and helped the Blues’ U18 side win seven trophies in two seasons between 2016 and 2018.

He has also captained Chelsea’s development squad this season as the Blues have enjoyed an unbeaten first half of the season.
Guehi’s move to Swansea also sees him link up with Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster, who he played alongside as part of the England U17 side, with Brewster also joining the Swans on loan this week.
Guehi trained with his new team-mates yesterday (Thursday) and is in contention to feature as Swansea face rivals Cardiff in the Championship on Sunday.
