Tottenham contact Chelsea-linked Moussa Dembele after making him No.1 target

Tottenham have made contact with Lyon star Moussa Dembele as they look to find cover for Harry Kane .

The English forward has been ruled out until April after it emerged that he will need surgery on his hamstring, in a massive blow to their top four hopes.

It has left Jose Mourinho desperate for a new striker and Starsport understands Dembele has been made No. 1 priority.

But they will have to wrestle with Chelsea over his signature, who have been chasing the Frenchman all January.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has insisted his main man is going nowhere but the Blues have persevered.
