Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Marco van Ginkel remain on the sidelines with long term injuries.
After seeing the Chelsea team, supporters took to social media to laud Lampard’s decision, with many delighted to see Hudson-Odoi getting another chance, after his impressive performance against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
The Blues were beaten by Southampton in their last Premier League game at Stamford Bridge, and also held by Brighton on New Year’s Day.
And with only a four point cushion over Sheffield United, Chelsea will be desperate to end their poor home form against visitors Burnley.
After today’s game, the Blues travel to Newcastle United next weekend.
