Chelsea vs Burnley
Chelsea’s latest clash saw them take on Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues began Saturday sat 4th in the Premier League with both Manchester United and Sheffield United sat five points behind them.
But while Chelsea have spent much of the campaign sat in the top-four, their form of late hasn’t been great.
The London outfit had won just two of their last five PL ties before taking on the Clarets.
Frank Lampard’s side also don’t possess the best home record this term.
Chelsea have already lost to the likes of West Ham, Bournemouth and Southampton at the Bridge this season.
But Chelsea did look to have a good chance to earn three points on Saturday as Burnley had lost their last three league outings before facing Chelsea.
Chelsea are also, as of writing, 2-0 up vs Sean Dyche’s side.
Why Kante missed out
As is the norm, Chelsea released their matchday squad to take on Burnley around an hour before kick-off.
There were a couple of noticeable changes for Chelsea vs Burnley with Ross Barkley and Andreas Christensen being handed starts.

But perhaps the most noticeable omission for Chelsea was N’Golo Kante with the midfielder not even in the 18.
Given what a pivotal member of Chelsea’s squad Kante has been since his move from Leicester, him being completely left out did seem a bit odd.
But Chelsea would provide an explanation for the midfielder’s absence, stating Kante is out with a hamstring problem he picked up in training on Friday.
