Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has been touted to sell up to four players before making new signings.
A FIFA ban has been lifted at Stamford Bridge – which means that the Blues can bolster their squad if they find the right targets.
And a number of players have been linked including Nathan Ake, Moussa Dembele and Jadon Sancho.
However, Chelsea have yet to splash out this January and have faced a number of problems pursuing their targets.
And former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison reckons Lampard may have to sell up to make room for others.

“I think he’s got a very, very good squad,” Hutchison told Premier League Productions.
“People talk about the youngsters, you’ve still got people like N’Golo Kante, you’ve still got [Antonio] Rudiger who is one of the best defenders in the Premier League .
“He’s probably got a dressing room where it might be a little bit heavy in terms of when he looks at the window in January and the summer, it might be a case of three or four need to leave.”
Olivier Giroud has been linked with a transfer away
Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso have both been linked with moves to Inter Milan but Hutchison has urged Lampard not to rush into any decision.
“People like Giroud who isn’t getting a game can’t be happy,” he added.
“He’s got a dilemma at left-back, I still think Emerson and Marcos Alonso are two very, very good full-backs but not in a four, more so when he plays a three.

“I don’t think he should be in a rush Frank just to go out there because all of a sudden he’s been given a transfer kitty of £100m-plus, I don’t think he should rush it.
