Chelsea’s highest rated player against Burnley was slightly surprising » Chelsea News

Ask Chelsea fans who they thought was their team’s man of the match against Burnley yesterday and you’ll get a few answers.

Most will say Reece James. The right back was utterly dominant down his side, perfectly in control in defence and threatening in attack. He picked up an assist for Tammy Abraham’s goal.

Ahead of him, Callum Hudson-Odoi would be another name on the shortlist. He scored and looked really dangerous attacking from wide positions.

On the other side, Cesar Azpilicueta also picked up an assist from a cross, and looked solid as ever. Our centre-backs were solid too.

But according to WhoScored, none of these guys were the star. They give the award to Willian, who wasn’t the man most people were talking about.

His 8.2 rating is the same as Azpi’s, but he gets the nod as the “star man” for some reason. He took 5 shots, completed 2 dribbles, made 3 tackles and played 2 key passes. A strong all round showing for sure.

Perhaps people should be taking more notice of the Brazilian’s form?
