‘Overrated!’ These Chelsea fans deliver Ben Chilwell transfer verdict after Leicester’s poor run

Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell is a name that won’t go away when it comes to Chelsea and transfer targets.

The Blues have been strongly linked with the England full-back, who has impressed this season for the Foxes as Brendan Rodgers’ men have outperformed the likes of Chelsea , Tottenham and Manchester United in the Premier League.

But Leicester have stuttered of late, with defeats against Manchester City, Premier League leaders Liverpool and a surprise 2-1 loss at home against Southampton.

That has seen the Foxes drop to third in the table, with Manchester City moving above them courtesy of a 6-1 win against Aston Villa at Villa Park.

And some Chelsea fans have not been impressed with the 23-year-old’s recent performances – and in particular his display against Southampton.

Here’s what some Blues fans have said about Chilwell following the defeat at the King Power Stadium.

It was the first time that Leicester City had lost out against a team in the bottom half of the Premier League this season, and Leicestershire Live have reported that Rodgers described the performance as being unlike his side.

Leicestershire Live also report that Chilwell was the most culpable for giving away possession, with 22 of his 58 attempted passes in the game not finding their target, adding that his place in the team could now come under threat, given Rodgers’ recent decision to drop Youri Tielemans from the team following a poor run of form.
