Bryan Fiabema has met Chelsea boss Frank Lampard , as well as his new team-mates, after becoming the latest addition to the club’s ranks.
He represents the west London sides’s first signing since Mateo Kovacic made his loan move permanent in a £40.5m deal from Real Madrid last summer.
Blues boss Frank Lampard was so impressed by the 16-year-old former Tromso attacker during his December trial that he opted to sign him on a 3.5-year permanent deal.
Fiabema will join the Chelsea academy rather than the first-team squad and look to earn a place in the youthful first XI in coming seasons.
The new arrival was invited to watch Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Burnley in a Stamford Bridge box, before being invited down to the dressing room to meet the squad.
Fiabema posed for a photo with Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is represented by the same agency, First Access Sports.
Tammy Abraham was on target against the Clarets, his 13th Premier League strike to date of a what is become a massive breakout campaign for him .
Lampard sang his praises after the 22-year-old England hitman turned in yet another impressive Chelsea performance.
“Tammy is really relishing the number nine shirt, but on top of that I hope he’s a little upset after that because he should have had two or three goals,” said Lampard.
“I know he’ll be feeling like that, but at the same time he did get his goal. He keeps getting in there, with his energy and personality on the pitch. He was that all-round striker.
“And the next stage is can you be more clinical, but I’m delighted with Tammy.”
