However, before they bring any players in, Frank Lampard might choose to let some leave the squad to make space for fresh players.

However, Lampard made it clear that the Spaniard is still part of his plans, and it would also seem sensible to keep the veteran around.
The Blues are in the market for a new winger, however it might look like the summer will be the best time for Chelsea to make that move.
So Pedro could be useful cover in case of injuries, and then the Blues could release him in the summer when his contract expires.
However, in the left-back position, Marcos Alonso appears to be surplus to requirements, and selling him on would free up space to make space for another full-back.
As for Olivier Giroud, his time at the Blues is coming to an end and it would be good to get some money out of the World Cup winner.
The striker wants to make the Stamford Bridge exit as well to try to keep his place in his country’s team for this summer’s Euros.
Andreas Christensen is after more playing time as well, but his performance against Burnley should be enough to keep him in the team.
