Chelsea’s buy back clause
Ake left Chelsea for Bournemouth in 2017, for a deal worth £20 million.
That deal is also reported to have a buy-back clause inserted that will allow the Blues to sign the defender for a fee of £40 million.
Impressive performances in the heart of the Bournmouth defence has attracted interest from the Blues, with them keeping an eye on the Dutch international for the past 12 months.
The Gunners are on the lookout for a new defender in order to strengthen their backline.
The Telegraph reported that Ake is high on Mikel Arteta’s wishlist for the January transfer window.
Manchester City and Everton have also been credited with an interest in the Bournemouth man.
Ake on Luiz
Should Arsenal make a move for Ake, he will be reunited with former Chelsea teammate David Luiz, and he has been full of praise for the Brazilian.
