Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is someone who knows about being a striker at Chelsea.
He’s been speaking about Moussa Dembele, the young Frenchman being constantly linked with potential January transfers. He’s fully in favour of the move, and is backing him to make a big impression if he’s given the chance.
Hasselbaink has experienced the challenges of playing for top teams who were expected to win things, and one of the benefits he sees in bringing in Dembele is that he’s experienced that too, in Scotland.
“When you are at Chelsea, you have to be able to handle the pressure of winning things and he has shown at Celtic he can do that,” the Dutchman noted in quotes carried by the Daily Mail.
Hasselbaink made a great impression signing for Chelsea having already made an impact in Britain elsewhere, and thinks that Dembele’s history at Celtic and Fulham will help him settle quickly:
“He played for years at Fulham, so knows the area. The majority of players who come from the continent, especially from France, need that time to adjust. He has already been through that process. He knows the English life.”
It’s high praise from a man who has actually managed teams taking on the striker. He obviously think he’s cut out for
We should pay serious attention to the opinion of this man.
