Olivier Giroud’s potential move to Inter Milan has edged nearer, with reports from Italy stating that he could officially join the club by the weekend.
Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio returned from a trip to London this week, after reportedly holding face-to-face talks with three Premier League sides.
Ausilio is said to have spoken to Chelsea about Giroud, Tottenham Hotspur about Christian Eriksen and Manchester United over Ashley Young.

Ausilio was spotted at the airport in Milan and spoke to reporters about Inter’s transfer business, saying: “There’s no news, no developments.
“We have faith in our squad and the work Inter are doing. If we then have the opportunity to improve the current squad, then we’ll do so.”
Inter’s pursuit of Eriksen has also stepped up, with the club keen on bringing the midfielder to the San Siro this month instead of waiting until the summer to sign him on a free.

The Red Devils’ club captain is still keen on the move and has rejected a new contract at Old Trafford to try and force through the move.
