Jadon Sancho to Chelsea latest: Abramovich ‘very keen’ on transfer, £102m fee, Willian’s future

It has so far been a quiet window for Frank Lampard and Chelsea, but that all could change over the next few weeks.

The Blues boss is now able to add players to his squad after a frustrating summer serving a transfer ban, and one of the players who has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in England man Jadon Sancho.

The Borussia Dortmund attacker has been one of the most highly rated talents around Europe, and would prove to be a coup for Chelsea should they be able to complete a deal.

Although, they’re not the only team said to be interested with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool all keeping an eye on the situation.

Here’s what we know about his future so far.

Dortmund issues

He may be one of the star men for Dortmund, but Sancho has had his issues at the club this season.

Sancho was substituted in Dortmund’s 4-0 defeat at Bayern Munich in November, with Lucien Favre admitting the winger’s performance was “not good enough”.

After returning late from Three Lions duty, Sancho was also dropped and fined, and publicly criticised by sporting director Michael Zorc and as well as Favre.

According to The Athletic, the sequence of events left the teenager feeling ‘humiliated’, ‘scapegoated’ and ‘unprotected’, which led to increased speculation over his future.

However, he has been in superb form since returning to the team.

Nevertheless, allowing the 19-year-old to leave would almost certainly be of financial reward for the Bundesliga outfit, and while a January switch is unlikely, it is understood that the club could be willing to allow him leave in the summer.
