Alan Shearer got fully lost in the moment and performed a bizarre jig when his beloved Newcastle side scored a late winner against Chelsea on Saturday evening.
The Match of the Day pundit was watching the game with presenter Gary Lineker who managed to capture the hilarious moment on camera, which the then shared with his 7.5m Twitter followers.
Newcastle hit the crossbar in the first-half at St James’ Park though Joelinton, but also found themselves under the cosh at times.
Chelsea had 70 per cent of possession and 19 shots in total compared to just seven efforts from their hosts.
But it was Steve Bruce’s side who had the last laugh when Isaac Hayden rose highest to head Alan Saint-Maxim’s free-kick past Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
In Lineker’s video Shearer rises off the sofa as the ball comes in and then spins around while rotating his arms in the air.
“Think @alanshearer enjoyed that smash and grab,” tweeted Lineker with accompanying laughing/crying emojis.
“There’s alcohol all my living room because my table went all over the place when that went in! My son couldn’t figure out what was going on,” replied another ecstatic Geordie.
Another Newcastle fan added: “We did the same in our house. Scared our poor cats – one even ran into the door!”
Bruce was over the moon with the win, his side’s first since a 1-0 triumph over Crystal Palace before Christmas.
“Smash and grab? Is that the right headline. It’s not great to watch but we are hard to beat,” said Bruce after Newcastle’s eighth win of the season.
“Joelinton fed off scraps, but overall he never gave up.”
