Chelsea take on Newcastle United this evening at St James’ Park and Blues supporters are pretty happy with the side that Frank Lampard has picked.
After the 3-0 win over Burnley last week, Lampard has made just one change to his team, with N’Golo Kante returning from injury.
He takes the place of Ross Barkley in midfield, who drops to the bench despite impressing in the victory over the Clarets.
There is one player who remains as a substitute, however, that some Blues fans might have expected to see, and that is Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian didn’t feature last week, and again he will have to wait for his time to play if he is to come off the bench.
It is another big evening for Andreas Christensen, with the Dane starting once again at centre-back next to Antonio Rudiger, with Kurt Zouma on the bench and Fikayo Tomori not in the squad.
Callum Hudson-Odoi will be looking to make it three goals in three games and continue his good form on the right wing.
Blues fans are pretty happy with what they have seen from Lampard and his team selection.
