Chelsea eyeing Boubakary Soumare transfer as potential N’Golo Kante replacement

Chelsea are scouting Boubakary Soumare ahead of a potential transfer as N’Golo Kante is linked with a move away.

The Blues currently have no intentions of letting the World Cup winner leave but situations can quickly change in football.

The Frenchman will be 30 next season and his contract expires in 2023 and Chelsea may believe that this summer could be the best chance to sell him for a large fee.

Real Madrid were interested in the summer and after failing to land Paul Pogba may revisit that pursuit in the next transfer window.

And according to The Athletic , Chelsea are keeping tabs on Lille star Soumare for a possible move.

Soumare is seen more of a defensive-minded player while Frank Lampard has hinted that it his attack that he would like to spruce up.
