Chelsea news: Conor Gallagher’s instant impact and Frank Lampard’s reaction to Newcastle defeat

It ended as a frustrating evening for Chelsea and Frank Lampard as the Blues fell to Premier League defeat to Newcastle at St James’ Park.

Lampard’s men dominated the majority of the game, but couldn’t find a way past a stubborn Magpies team.

It was in added time when the sucker-punch came, Newcastle recycled their only corner of the match for Isaac Hayden to turn the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The defeat means that Chelsea, who still sit in fourth place in the table are now just five points clear of Manchester United in fifth, although the Red Devils have a game in hand.
