Michy’s fine finish
For Michy Batshuayi, it has been another season for the Belgian to have to be patient and just wait on the bench.
Once again in Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United yesterday, the striker was named as a substitute.
He did make an appearance towards the end of the match, but unfortunately for the Blues he wasn’t able to make an impact.

In fact, the best thing he showed was before the game as the rest of the team had headed down the tunnel.
With the ball about 25 yards out, Batshuayi smashed it into the bottom corner of the net with his left foot. Flying past Jamie Cumming, who even gave a nod of approval.
Newcastle fan takes a blow
There wouldn’t have been many Newcastle United fans feeling down after Isaac Hayden’s winning goal, however there was one.
The Magpies players went to run into the corner to celebrate, and Matt Ritchie got a little carried away as he kicked the flag.
It went flying into the stands and right into the nether-regions of one Newcastle fan, with the man looking in immediate pain.
It was a pretty hilarious moment, and the fans seemed to recover in the end.
Pedro’s warm up
With Willian struggling a bit in the first half, it looked like Pedro might get his shot to get on the pitch
The Spaniard went through a very intense warm up at half-time, having some one-on-one time with the fitness coach.
Then, throughout the beginning of the second half, he continued to keep himself warm to make sure he was ready for a rare appearance.
However, it never came. Instead, Ross Barkley, Emerson Palmieri and Batshuayi got on the pitch.
Unfortunately, Pedro had to make his way back to bench and wasn’t needed once more.
