Roy Keane hammers Chelsea and Frank Lampard over Man United’s record under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Roy Keane believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs more time at Manchester United, just as Frank Lampard does at Chelsea.

The Red Devils boss is under pressure at Old Trafford amid an indifferent season so far, with Manchester United losing out 2-0 against Premier League leaders Liverpool at Anfield to leave them five points behind Chelsea in the battle for the top four.

But while Solskjaer is facing questions once again over his long-term future at United, former Red Devils’ captain Keane has launched a staunch defence of the Norwegian.

In addition, the Sky Sports pundit has questioned why if Solskjaer is under pressure, Lampard is not facing similar questions at Chelsea .

Directing a question at former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports, Keane said: “Look at the previous [Manchester United] managers over the last few years, are you saying they are all bad managers?

“[Jose] Mourinho needed more time. With his CV, absolutely.

“We question Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] with his CV and say he is not up to it, but look at other managers, who go to clubs and are given the benefit of the doubt.
