Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted Ben Chilwell is just being rested after he was left out of their team to play Burnley.
The England left-back has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this month or in the summer transfer window.
The Blues are keen to add to their options in that area, with the long-term futures of Emerson and Marcos Alonso both unclear.
As a result, there was even more scrutiny when Chilwell wasn’t named in the Leicester 18 to face Burnley on Sunday, despite pictures emerging to confirm he had travelled with the squad.

However, Rodgers has revealed that Chilwell, who is the only Leicester player to have played in all four of their matches in 2020, is just being rested and his absence is nothing to do with swirling transfer rumours.
“Ben’s (Chilwell) played an awful lot of games this season with international games and this week as well, he was unavailable for some training,” Rodgers told Leicestershire Live.
“He’s travelled with us, he’s with the squad and we hope he’s available for Wednesday’s game.
“We’ve got another young player, Youri Tielemans, as well. Youri’s put in so much work so we’ve got to be mindful of the number of games we’ve got left.
“Both boys are very important for us.
“It’s the same idea [with Hamza]. There were a couple of guys that were unavailable for training this week, so we went with the guys that had trained all week.
