(Video): “We are looking to bring people in”

Chelsea didn’t manage to score against Newcastle, and that was a major issue that manger Frank Lampard was asked about after the game. He confirmed that the club were likely to turn to the transfer market to try and solve this particular problem.

“We are looking to bring people in,” Lampard admitted when discussing his side’s inability to find the net once again. The transfer market does seem like the best solution at this stage.

After keeping his cards close to his chest on this front, the manager is being increasingly open about signing a striker, perhaps because he’s trying to increase pressure on the club to buy, or perhaps because he knows that a deal is close now.
