Frank Lampard has today reiterated Chelsea’s desire to sign new attackers during his press conference at Cobham.
The Chelsea manager has made it pretty clear that this is an area that he is looking to improve in and add some quality.
One of their main reported targets has been Lyon striker Moussa Dembele according to The Telegraph, amongst other reliable sources.
However, his club have been keeping a stronghold on their star man insisting that he will be going nowhere during this window, as reported by Foot Mercato.
The same publication believe that Manchester United are about to rival Chelsea for the signature of Dembele, by readying their own offer for the 23-year old former Celtic and Fulham man.
So if Chelsea are serious about this pursuit and he is a main target, they might have to wade in with an offer of their own.
That is of course if they haven’t already made a move behind the scenes, as can often happen during the transfer window.
