Frank Lampard has laughed off Roy Keane’s criticism of the Chelsea boss after the Manchester United legend suggested Lampard had ‘all the answers’.
Keane was a pundit during United’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, and after the match he was in a heated discussion with Jamie Carragher over Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
The conversation moved on to whether the United boss had the experience and knowledge to get the best out of his underperforming Red Devils.
Keane said: “We question that Ole is not up to it and look at his CV, yet other managers at other clubs are given the benefit of the doubt. Give the man a chance.

“Frank Lampard is at Chelsea and I saw Chelsea last night. He has a decent team and couldn’t get the job done. Frank Lampard has lost eight games yet for some reason he’s doing all right. Maybe it’s because he’s English, I don’t know.
“Look at Frank’s CV. He was at Derby and didn’t get promoted and yet he’s got all the answers at Chelsea. He hasn’t. Give Ole time. It’s the same with the previous managers. I would’ve given David Moyes more than eight months. I’d certainly give Ole another year — 100 per cent.”
And Lampard has responded to the criticism, stating he has no problem with Keane but disputed he gets an easy ride because he is a young, English coach.
“Good viewing, wasn’t it? I watched it. It makes your ears prick up,” Lampard joked.
“I don’t think being English gives you any sort of a bye from criticism, in fact I’ve heard quite a lot when I first got this job of writing me off because I’m young and English and only had a year at Derby.
“So I think that conversation was so quick that a lot was coming out. And fair play to Roy, I love watching him talk about football because of how passionate he is and to the point, but I don’t think I’ve had…
