Edinson Cavani tipped to favour Chelsea or Tottenham transfer over Man Utd move

Manchester United are likely to lose out in the race for Edinson Cavani.

The 32-year-old has handed in a transfer request at Paris Saint-Germain ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

Atletico Madrid are attempting to secure Cavani’s services but Chelsea, the Red Devils and Tottenham are all on the hunt for attacking reinforcements.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol believes the Uruguay international is likely to prioritise playing in the Champions League – boosting the capital clubs but ruling out Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

“What we are being told is funds are available for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if they want to sign somebody short term,” Solhekol said.
