Frank Lampard’s team selection for tonight’s Premier League encounter with Arsenal has got Chelsea supporters talking.
As expected, the Blues are without Ruben Loftus-Cheek who is a long-term absentee, while forgotten midfielder Marco van Ginkel is not in consideration despite revealing he has returned to training.
Christian Pulisic is also absent from the matchday squad as he continues to recover from the injury that has kept him out of the Blues last three games across all competitions.

The big new ahead of kick-off is that Reece James hasn’t made the starting line-up or the bench as the injury he sustained at St James’ Park a few days ago has not cleared up in time.
That means a recall for Emerson Palmieri at left-back – with Cesar Azpilicueta switching over to the opposite flank – and the Italy international will be hopeful of a better showing after being substituted in the first-half in the reverse meeting three weeks ago.
Kepa keeps his place in between the sticks and Lampard maintains faith in the central defensive partnership of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Mateo Kovacic returns to the midfield in place of Mason Mount who drops to the bench.
In total, Lampard has made two changes to the side that was beaten by Newcastle United at the weekend as the west London outfit look to complete the double over the Gunners and open up a 13-point gap between the two teams.
