The 26-year-old has scored 11 Premier League goals this season and could prove to be a big miss for Jose Mourinho’s side should they not be able to replace his goals.

Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Manchester united are all said to be also interested in the 32-year-old.
But it won’t just be the competition for his signature that will make a move for Cavani difficult for Tottenham during this window.
According to The Telegraph , the Uruguayan’s wages are £8.5 million a year after tax, which is way above Spurs’ wage structure, meaning that they would have to smash it to have any chance of winning the race for Cavani’s services.
The report also claims that the player’s age could be seen as a problem at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the club are looking to reduce the average age of the playing squad.
The two factors mean that Tottenham are likely to move onto other targets including Krzysztof Piatek , while Moussa Dembele and Islam Slimani have also been linked with the club.
