Tammy Abraham was spotted limping without a boot after Chelsea’s draw with Arsenal.
The 22-year-old striker struggled back to the changing rooms after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard confirmed Abraham’s ankle is the area of concern but was unable to offer a detailed update in his post-match press conference.
A video has emerged of Abraham limping down the pitch at Stamford Bridge on his way home from the ground, however, which suggests the injury is not serious.
Sports reporter Carrie Brown uploaded the clip to Twitter, and wrote: “Tammy Abraham limping but without a boot. Promising.”
Despite struggling to walk, the England international did not require a protective boot.
Abraham’s injury is a concern for Chelsea, who have not been at their best in recent weeks.
The Blues’ mixed form continued in Tuesday’s Premier League contest against Arsenal.
Jorginho fired the hosts ahead from the penalty spot after David Luiz saw red for bringing down Abraham in the box.
Gabriel Martinelli levelled in the second half after a brilliant solo run-and-finish but Cesar Azpilicueta’s 84th-minute goal appeared to have Chelsea on course for victory.
Hector Bellerin had the last laugh, however, with a late effort from the edge of the box which beat Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Speaking about Abraham’s injury after the final whistle, Lampard said: ”He has ice on his ankle, but we don’t know yet.”
