Chelsea could make a late push to hijack Lyon’s move for midfielder » Chelsea News

One things for certain in this transfer window and that is a deal is never complete until you see a club announcing that player in full crested club gear.

Anything can happen right up until the last minute and things can change in an instant.

Chelsea have been scouting a certain Bruno Guimaraes from Athletico Paranense for some time, but he was initially thought to be joining Benfica this window, and then yesterday Lyon had strong links of a deal being agreed.

Chelsea scouted him last season. Not the most pressing positional need in Lampard’s squad though #CFC https://t.co/H4jkGvjyEY

Could Chelsea be about to hijack this deal at the last minute?

Well, Portuguese publication O Jogo, as cited by Sport Witness, believe that Chelsea are still keen on signing the 22-year old Brazilian midfielder, as well as Arsenal.

This would be some development if any club was to move in now, but they would need to act fast to pip in ahead of Lyon, which looks close to be doing.
