Frank Lampard has just has his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup game against Hull, and the Chelsea manager was asked about the contract situations of two of his senior players.
Willian and Pedro, Brazil starter and World Cup winner respectively, have seen it all at the top level, and won every trophy between them. Both have given sterling service to Chelsea, but their contracts are expiring this summer, and they are free to speak to other clubs from now.
There is a sense that Willian, at least, will get a new offer, as he’s playing every week for Lampard. But according to Nizaar Kinsella, the Goal.com reporter who was at the presser, there are “no updates” on the standoffs:

Pedro is as good as gone, while Willian wants a two year deal. The club are so far holding strong to their policy of not giving multiple year deals to players above 30, and the stalemate which has already got a year under its belt looks set to continue.
