Cavani left out of PSG squad
Edinson Cavani played no part in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 clash with Lille tonight.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the in-demand forward had been left out of his squad for the game at the Stade Pierre Mauroy.
The Uruguayan is currently being chased by Chelsea, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid, with the trio all keen to secure the 32-year-old’s services this month.
Cavani could be set to leave PSG in January
“It’s a little bit the same thing with Edi,” Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference as speculation around the forward’s future increases.
“He has been training with us for the past few days, but the situation is not clear for him either. And for that, he will not be available for tomorrow.”
Blues monitoring Watkins
Chelsea are monitoring a surprise move to sign Brentford striker Ollie Watkins, according to the Daily Star.
The forward has scored 17 goals in 27 games for the Bees so far this season and is said to have caught the eye of Frank Lampard as he searches for striking reinforcements.
The report claims that while a move may not happen in this window, the Chelsea boss has identified the forward as a potential long-term target.
