Fikayo Tomori insists that the FA Cup remains an important competition for Chelsea this season despite their other commitments.
The Blues clinched a fifth round spot in the competition with an unconvincing win over Hull City at the weekend, with the draw for the next round to be made this evening.
Frank Lampard’s side are also in a fight for the Premier League’s top four spots, going six-points clear, while they have Bayern Munich in the Champions League after the winter break.
Tomori netted the winner in the 2-1 victory over the Tigers, heading in from a Ross Barkley free-kick during the second half.

And while the FA Cup might seem down the list of priorities, Tomori insists that the Blues are keen to clinch the trophy for the ninth time in their history.
“Chelsea have a rich history in the FA Cup. With the gaffer being in there we went to a lot of finals at Wembley,” Tomori said.
“We have seen Chelsea lift it many times with Conte and in the past as well. Of course, it is Chelsea and we want to fight for every competition.
“There’s a trophy to play for at the end of it. When you step on the pitch we are not thinking this is just an FA Cup game or this is a Champions League game.
“We want to win. We want to win. Every game is the same. Going into the FA Cup games we want to do the same thing. We want to try to go as far as we can.”
“We all want to play, we all want to be part of it and win. We can all contribute. We’re into the fifth round, so we can watch the draw and wait to see who we get. Hopefully we can get a good draw and win again.”
