Chelsea are actively searching for a new striker to bring in this window and have not lost hope of achieving this, as per The Telegraph yesterday.
In the report, Krzysztof Piatek is mentioned as being a player that Chelsea are monitoring this window.
But judging by another report from the reliable Italian reporter Fabrizio Romano early this morning, Chelsea are still yet to make contact for Piatek, and it is Tottenham who are advancing with their talks to sign him.
Tottenham are one step away from signing Steven Bergwjin. Last details to be completed between Spurs and PSV on the final fee (€31M) and then… here we go! ⚪️

So what does this mean for Chelsea’s striker pursuit? Well, as The Telegraph stated, Chelsea have not given up hope on signing Edinson Cavani from PSG yet, despite him being heavily linked to joining Atletico Madrid.
So could this mean that Chelsea’s negotiations to sign Cavani are looking positive? That may well be the case if they have yet to move for Piatek or the other reported backup option Luka Jovic from Real Madrid.
We move into the last four days of the window….
